I have several group army photos.

This one is with my grandfather Charlie Collins b 1896 England. He's the young man under the arrow at the back.
It was taken in April 24 1919 in Malmaison, France.
On the back is stamped Photographie Henri 25, Rue d'Amsterdam ____ St-Lazare_ Paris

My father told me there are several countries represented here.
England, as my grandfather is in it.
Australia, as per the hats with the side turned up.

Can anyone identify any other countries?
Where is Mal Maison? I think I found more that one place with that name.
Anyone have anymore insights to this photo.

Thanks :D

There are at least 2 hats on the left that look like Canadian Mounties.

There may be several Malmaison, but I think this may be the Château de Malmaison on the outskirts of Paris. They might be interested in the photo.

The address on the back is Gare St-Lazare, one of the main Paris train station, located on rue d'Amsterdam.

Thank you both, I will try to contact the museum.
Thank you for reading the ink blob word.
Now, I'm looking at my late fathers notes on the photo he wrote.
"Napoleon's Malmaison".... and .... "on leave in Paris"

Napoleon and Joséphine did stay at that castle. Maybe the tour guide emphasized that fact and it stayed in your father's mind. I assume they were on leave and an excursion to the castle was organized. This was 5 months after the armistice and troops were probably leaving the region.

Hello,

There's a "YMCA" mention on the photo, it may be this one:

https://foyers-ymca.paris/trevise/historique/

In 1914, "The building was requisitioned and transformed into a military hospital and run by the Société de Secours aux Blessés Militaires (Military Wounded Relief Society), while at the front the YMCA set up Soldier's Homes to provide meals, services and respite for soldiers engaged in combat."

That's plausible, and it's not very far from the gare St Lazare.

Thanks again everyone.
This photo went from "somewhere in France" to a place to visit when you'll allow a Canadian in your country
